· People often ask me what my favorite place is when I travel.  I have a thing about not selecting favorites.  I prefer to enjoy destinations as they are, rather than what they are not.  

But I knew I wanted to live abroad.  Following suit with my style of decision-making (I have an irrevocable draw & commitment to what wins me emotionally), Paris knocked me sideways, one of the best blows of my life, and the decision was soon made.  

Every day during my initial visit I said out loud, I have to be here.  And so it is.  Months out of every year.
